Home of the over-privileged child?

The idea is that you "bold" the ones that apply, to see how "privileged" a childhood you had. From Daily Troll, via Dustbury.


Father went to college - Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts.
Father finished college -
Mother went to college -
Mother finished college - Sort of-training as a medical technician.
Have any relative who is an attorney, physician, or professor. -Sister in law is a sociologist; cousin is a physician.
Were the same or higher class than your high school teachers -Nope.
Had more than 50 books in your childhood home. -
Had more than 500 books in your childhood home - Many hundreds of books. My mother was involved in the "Great Books" program.

Were read children’s books by a parent -Taught myself how to read by four or so; they didn't need to.
Had lessons of any kind before you turned 18 -Music, swimming.
Had more than two kinds of lessons before you turned 18 -
The people in the media who dress and talk like me are portrayed positively -No one dresses or talks like me, thank God. I'm in a class of my own.
Had a credit card with your name on it before you turned 18. -No.
Your parents (or a trust) paid for the majority of your college costs -A brother paid part of them.

Your parents (or a trust) paid for all of your college costs. -No.
Went to a private high school -Public all the way.
Went to summer camp -Nope.
Had a private tutor before you turned 18 -No.
Family vacations involved staying at hotels -You're kidding, right?
Your clothing was all bought new before you turned 18 -Rarely new before high school years.
Your parents bought you a car that was not a hand-me-down from them -No one ever bought me a car!

There was original art in your house when you were a child -My father painted. He was good, especially when he was younger.
Had a phone in your room before you turned 18 -No.
You and your family lived in a single family house -
Your parent(s) owned their own house or apartment before you left home -
You had your own room as a child -Shared room with brother or brothers.
Participated in an SAT/ACT prep course -No.
Had your own TV in your room in High School -No.
Owned a mutual fund or IRA in High School or College -No way.

Flew anywhere on a commercial airline before you turned 16 -Yes, once.
Went on a cruise with your family -Uh, no. We weren't the Thurston Howell III clan.
Went on more than one cruise with your family -See above.
Your parents took you to museums and art galleries as you grew up -Yes, occasionally.
You were unaware of how much heating bills were for your family -No. Dad talked about how he couldn't afford to heat the house all the time.
